Mike Pereira is a former head of NFL officials and the go-to guy for officiating breakdowns during FOX football broadcasts. He's also currently in Central Oregon, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
I brought him on the radio show (12-3p weekdays on 750-AM and 102.9-FM) to talk about rule changes, the sliding quarterback, and what he thinks makes a great official. Also, why he turned down a FOX offer to become a golf rules expert.
"They did ask me when the got the USGA... I play golf... if I would have went to rules school, I probably would have no more friends," Pereira said.
