The state of Oregon has slowly elevated its recruiting profile in the past couple of years, thanks to a bevy of four-star prospects.
But the class of 2018 is particularly unique, boasting nearly 20 scholarship athletes and as many as seven prospects who could wind up as four-star recruits or better.
Headlining that group is Crescent Valley athlete Talanoa Hufanga, who is rated the nation's No. 1 athlete by both Scout and 247Sports.
On Thursday, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound prospect cut his list to a final ten, making the much-anticipated announcement on social media:

For both the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers, Hufanga is a top priority for the class of 2018, so making the early cut is a good sign, although neither is particularly surprising.
