TEMPE, Ariz. Hannah Swanson shot an even-par 72 to lead the Oregon State women's golf team in the first round of the PING/ASU Invitational on Friday.

The Beavers finished the opening round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 3-over 291 at the par-72, 6,223-yard ASU Karsten Golf Course to sit in sixth place in the 14-team field.

Host Arizona State and Baylor are tied for first with a 10-under 278, while Washington and Arizona are tied for third with a 1-under 287 and UNLV is fifth with a 1-over 289.
