After Florida parted ways with head coach Jim McElwain on Sunday, we posed a question to all of you out there. Should Oregon State go out and hire McElwain as the next leader of the Beavers program? Or should the Beavers look in a different direction?
More than 300 votes later, you’ve clearly made your decision. With an overwhelming 63% of the votes, Beaver Nation has made it clear that they don’t think Oregon State should hire Jim McElwain as their next head coach.

Since all of you out there in Beaver Nation don’t believe McElwain is the best choice for the Beavers, it now means that he’ll simply be added a very long shortlist of potential candidates that we think Oregon State could consider, which includes the much-beloved current interim Oregon State head coach in Cory Hall.
