CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State softball team opened its 2017 home schedule today against number seven ranked Minnesota, falling 6-0 in a wet afternoon at the OSU Softball Complex. The opener lasted 3:18 due to an hour rain delay in the top of the first inning.
The Gophers got through two batters in the first frame before the rain delay ensued. Following the pause, Minnesota jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning.
The Beavers went down in order to start the game, but put its first base runner on in the bottom of the second after lead off with a single down the right-field line.
