CORVALLIS, Ore. – A match that looked to be going to overtime was held short, as No. 3 Stanford scored a goal with two seconds left to stun Oregon State women's soccer, 3-2 at Paul Lorenz Field on a rainy Friday night.
No. 3 Stanford (12-1-1, 5-1 Pac-12) dominated the shot category, tallying 20 shots, while holding Oregon State to just three. The Cardinal goalkeeper, Jane Campbell saw only three shots on the night, which all but one were goals for the Beavers.
OSU (5-8-2, 0-6 Pac-12) struck first after junior received a pass up the field from junior and put a move on Campbell, who came out of the box, and chipped the ball into the goal.
