BANDON, Ore. – Oregon State rising senior Spencer Tibbits advanced to match play at the prestigious U.S. Amateur.
Tibbits shot a 2-under 70 in Monday's round at Bandon Dunes and followed that with a 3-over 74 on Tuesday at Bandon Trails to finish in a tie for 48th place with a 1-over 144. The 120th U.S. Amateur featured 264 of the world's best amateur golfers competing at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort with the top 64 players advancing to match play.
