Spencer Petras, Oregon State 4-star QB commit, earns Cal-Hi Sports player of the week award

Things have been relatively quiet on the recruiting trail for the Oregon State football program since Gary Andersen and the university mutually parted ways.

But ESPN four-star quarterback commit Spencer Petras provided some fireworks over the weekend, throwing for 412 yards and four touchdowns with an additional 58 yards and two scores rushing to earn the Cal-Hi Sports Northern California Offensive Player of the Week award.

Here's what they had to say about the 6-foot-5, 207-pound signal-caller's performance:

"Last week, in a 55-6 drubbing of host Redwood of Larkspur, and with Nebraska head coach Mike Riley watching from the sidelines, Petras was 22 of 35 for 412 yards and four TDs in three quarters of work.
