CORVALLIS, Ore. – Redshirt junior first baseman/designated player Natalie Hampton was named Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the organization announced on Thursday.
Hampton, a native of Antelope, Calif., is enjoying a successful campaign off the field, compiling a stalwart 3.34 grade-point average in fisheries and wildlife sciences at Oregon State.
On the field, Hampton has been at the core of a potent Beaver offense, batting .347 with nine home runs, 10 doubles and 47 runs batted in. She has started in all 44 games for OSU, splitting time at first base and designated player, and hitting in the clean-up spot in the lineup each game.
