The Kevin Sumlin tenure in Tucson is off to a slow start, after Arizona opened the season with losses to Brigham Young and Houston. The Wildcats notched their first win of the season Saturday, beating Southern Utah 62-31, but even in this game it was a struggle for a half. Arizona was expected to contend for the Pac-12 South title this season, and in that regard, no harm has been done as this week’s game against Oregon State is the Wildcats’ league opener. Arizona is led by quarterback Khalil Tate, who threw for five touchdown passes and 349 yards, while only completing 13 passes against the Thunderbirds.
