Sneak peek: Oregon State Beavers open 2017 season at Colorado State

Rams entering this season: Colorado State, which has made four consecutive bowl games, should again be a player in the Mountain West in Mike Bobo’s third season as head coach. The Rams return their primary pieces from an offense that ranked 28th nationally in scoring (35.3 points per game) and 30th in yards per game (462.5) last season. But Colorado State will be aiming for a dramatic improvement defensively, after allowing 30.4 points per game to rank 81st nationally last season. Bobo expressed concern about his team’s depth during the offseason, but the Rams are still a respected and dangerous non-Power 5 opponent.
