Injuries and a season-opening loss at Auburn have derailed a season many believed would end with Washington in the College Football Playoff. The Huskies went into the season as the Pac-12’s clear-cut favorite, then narrowly lost games at Oregon and California. Still, Washington remains on a path to the Rose Bowl, if the Huskies can win their final two games and the Pac-12 title game. The Huskies’ defense is the Pac-12’s best, as they’re either first or second in the league in scoring, total, pass and rushing defense. Where Washington has disappointed is its offense. Despite returning the league’s most veteran quarterback in Jake Browning, a stud running back in Myles Gaskin and other experienced offensive parts, the Huskies’ total offense yardage ranks only eighth in the Pac-12.
