Stanford's Christian McCaffrey joins LSU's Leonard Fournette in skipping their respective bowl games to focus on preparing for the NFL draft.
The two, both star running backs, are among the best players in college football and boost the star power of their respective teams and draw big TV viewership.
Fournette has been dealing with an ankle injury and has been dealing with blowback about his decision, which has been painted as a mutual one with coach Ed Orgeron.
"I'm not a quitter at all. I tried to play through the injury as best as I could," Fournette said.
