Oregon State women's basketball head coach Scott Rueck has named Sharon Rissmiller interim assistant coach. Rissmiller temporarily fills the void of the departure of former assistant coach Mandy Close and will remain in the position until a permanent coach is named.
Rissmiller spent the 2015-16 season, her first at OSU, as the Beavers' director of operations assisting a team that advanced to their first ever Final Four last April, finished No. 2 in the country and posted a gaudy 32-5 record.
OSU also won the Pac-12 Conference title for the second year in a row and captured the program's first ever Pac-12 Conference Tournament championship.
