The question about what position to play Seth Collins at is no longer an issue for Oregon State coach Gary Andersen. Collins, who was the Beavers' starting quarterback for 7 games this past season as a true freshman, and their best offensive weapon, has decided he will transfer away.

Collins was relocated to a combination receiver/slot/wildcat position for the Civil War, and was still a major weapon for the Beavers, running for 39 yards, but 3 touchdowns, and completing 2 of 4 passes.
It has been apparent that transfer QB Darell Gartetson, who had to set out last season due to NCAA transfer rules, will be anointed the starter for Oregon State next season, and Nick Mitchell has already transferred as a result.
