CORVALLIS - As Oregon State risked seeing another big second half lead turn into a loss Thursday night against UCLA, head coach Wayne Tinkle elected to put Seth Berger back into the game.
Berger had picked up his fourth foul with just under 10 minutes remaining and exited soon after, but played a key role in the 69-63 victory after coming back in with 5:33 to play and the Beavers trailing 56-55.
"This guy's maturity and what he's been doing for us the last several weeks, he was flawless - defensively, on the glass, he had a big tip in at one point," Tinkle said.
