RENTON, Wash. - Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll knows the importance of special teams in any game and said Los Angeles Rams punter Johnny Hekker is more than just an excellent punter.
When the Seahawks face the Rams on Sunday, the Seahawks must be aware of Hekker's ability to throw a pass out of a punt formation.
"He's a fantastic weapon," Carroll said Wednesday. "We know him. We've seen him for years. This guy has been doing all kinds of stuff."
The former Oregon State star is averaging 47.
