CORVALLIS – Diana Santiago scored the first collegiate goal of her career, but the Oregon State women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Arizona State Friday evening in Tempe, Ariz.
Santiago's goal came on a shot from outside of the box in the 83rd minute.
Senior goalkeeper Bella Geist made eight saves in the match to move into second on Oregon State's career list with 338 career saves.
Overall the Beavers tallied 14 shots in the match, including 10 on goal.
Emma Jones nearly found herself in on goal early in the match, but the Arizona State goalkeeper was quick of her line to silence the threat.
