PLEASANTON, Calif. – Chelsea Saelee shot a 1-under 71 and Haley Nist carded an even-par 72 to lead the Oregon State women’s golf team in the opening round of the Pac-12 Championship on Monday.
Saelee, a senior from Seattle, Wash., had five birdies and four bogeys at the par-72, 6,458-yard Ruby Hill Golf Club to put her in a tie for 16th place. This is the fourth Pac-12 Championship she’s competed at, and the 1-under 71 is her best score at the conference tournament, bettering the even-par 71 she shot last year in Boulder, Colo.
