Oregon State's Ryan Nall is on the Doak Walker Award watch list given annually to the nation's best running back.
Nall, who is also on the watch list for the Maxwell Award given to the nation's best overall player, is the centerpiece of the Beavers' offense after compiling 951 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns last season. His combination of size and elusiveness has helped him total 1,729 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns in his career, and is on pace to break OSU's school record for yards per carry (currently 6.4).
Nall joins Marcus McMaryion (Danny Wuerffel Award, best combination of community service and athletic/academic achievement) joins Manase Hungalu (Butkus Award, nation's best linebacker), Nick Porebski (Ray Guy Award, nation's best punter) and offensive lineman Sumner Houston (Rimington Trophy, nation's best center) as OSU players currently on preseason watch lists for the various college football awards.
