CORVALLIS - Among the last times Ryan Nall and Cameron Scarlett shared the same field, they made history.
Before their divergent career arcs as running backs -- Nall at Oregon State and Scarlett at Stanford -- they were teammates in the Central Catholic High School backfield on a cold evening at then-Jeld-Wen Field in November 2013.
Nall was a 6-foot-3, 225-pound senior on his way to OSU, the only Power 5 school to offer him a scholarship. Scarlett was a 6-foot-1, 205-pound junior who was sorting through a bounty of major opportunities as the state's most sought-after recruit.
