Oregon State senior center Ruth Hamblin has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the third time in her career, the organization announced Thursday.
Hamblin, who was a second-team Academic All-American last season, currently holds a 3.85 grade-point average in mechanical engineering and is on pace to finish her degree at the end of the winter quarter in March. She is also one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award.
Hamblin, the reigning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, leads the conference with 3.1 blocks per game while also averaging 11.4 points, 8.3 rebounds per contest.
