Rick Neuheisel joined me on The Bald Faced Truth radio show (12-3p on 750-AM and 102.9-FM) and talked about the rebuilding challenge facing Oregon State football... and why the athletic director hiring is so important for Gary Andersen.
"It's hugely important, and in particular, it depends on the personality of the new guy," Neuheisel said. "You just hope that you're in the vision. Everybody will say the right things when you begin..."
Neuheisel said he sees similarities between his tenure at UCLA and Andersen's tenure at Oregon State. He also talked about Oregon coach Mark Helfrich's job security and about an awkward hand-slap he received from Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.
