1. In the days leading up to Saturday’s game, there’s was a belief that the Beavers had a chance against Stanford. Look, the Cardinal may not be the Cardinal of recent years -- when they were planting teams left and right in the Pac-12 Championship game – but this remains a pretty solid team. All of Stanford’s losses came to teams ranked in the top 25 at the time of the game. What the Cardinal have is something Oregon State is not equipped to handle: physical wide receivers and particularly, tight ends. It was a mismatch that played out practically from the first play.
