With just under two weeks remaining in the dead period, both the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers are unable to make face-to-face contact with recruits.
The timing couldn't be much worse for Oregon, a program that recently hired a new coach and has approximately half its class in place.
The Ducks have been able to make up ground via social media and phone contact, landing commitments from defensive tackle Jordon Scott and four-star cornerback Thomas Graham Jr.
Oregon State, on the other hand, has just 7-8 slots still available and largely knows what to expect in terms of how it'll close out its 2017 recruiting cycle.
