For the past few years, the suburbs have owned the Oregon high school basketball landscape.
West Linn has won four straight 6A state titles, largely unchallenged, and the city of Portland has struggled to produce its typical Division I basketball prospects, particularly in the AAU circuit, where politics and infighting has fractured the talent pool.
Nike's Portland Basketball Club is hoping to change that, and has already gotten the ball rolling with the classes of 2018 and 2019, as Power 5 programs from around the country have taken an interest in the practices at Jefferson High School.
