CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State freshman has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Pivec, a bio-health sciences major, is the first Beaver to win the award since was named Freshman of the Week in 2014, and is just the third Oregon State player to take the honor since the award began in 2012-13.
The freshman from Lynwood, Wash. had a breakout weekend for the Beavers, making her first two starts and earning #Play4Kay Shootout All-Tournament honors. Pivec scored 17 points in her first career start, shooting 6-for-7 from the floor in a win over Quinnipiac, and again went for 17 points in a victory over Oklahoma State the next day.
