Palmer's tech fall leads Beavers against ASU

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State wrestling team got a technical fall from senior 133-pounder Joey Palmer but fell 33-11 to No. 21 Arizona State on Sunday in a Pac-12 dual at Gill Coliseum.

The Beavers (4-7, 2-1 Pac-12) won three of the 10 matches. But the Sun Devils (8-4, 1-1) took two toss-up bouts and scored 12 bonus points on three pins, a technical fall and a major decision for the decisive decision.

Palmer thumped ASU's Ted Rico 19-4 in the second bout to give the Beavers a 5-3 lead.
