Palatin, Karz to Row at World Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Former Oregon State rower Devery Karz and current Beavers’ coxswain Danielle Palatin will race at the 2015 World Rowing Championships in Aiguebelette, France August 30-September 6.

Karz, a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic honoree, qualified to race in the United States’ women’s lightweight double after racing to a bronze medal finish at the World Cup last month. A strong performance for Karz, who lettered for Oregon State from 2009-11, at the World Championships would give her a leg up on qualifying to the U.S. Olympic team to compete in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
