CORVALLIS -- One of the ways Seth Berger acclimated to a new Oregon State campus environment was through morning workouts with Tres Tinkle.
Berger, a 6-foot-8 forward and graduate transfer from UMass, would go through a thorough, tiring post-sunrise gym routine with the Beavers' top returner. He was stunned to see Tinkle back within a few hours, then again later in the evening.
"I had never been around somebody who consistently put in that much work multiple times a day throughout the week," Berger said.
The offseason effort that Tinkle put in following back-to-back season-ending injuries mesmerized teammates at both ends of the age spectrum.
