PULLMAN, Wash. – Senior Sammy Harrison won the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle events to highlight five wins by the Oregon State swimming team at Washington State on Friday night at Gibb Pool.
After Oregon State opened Friday night’s meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (Amani Amr, Czsarina Isleta, Andrea Young, Claire McLaggan – 1:47.14), Harrison clocked a time of 10:13.14 to give the Beavers a victory in the first individual event of the night.
10 events later, Harrison re-entered the pool for the 500-yard freestyle and seized her second win of the night with a time of 5:01.
