HOUSTON, Texas – Senior Sammy Harrison won the 1,650-yard freestyle with the second-fastest time in school history to highlight multiple top-10 performances and lead the Oregon State swimming team to a sixth-place finish at the Phill Hansel Invitational held at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium on the campus of the University of Houston.
The final tally for Oregon State was 703, just behind 707.50 points compiled by fifth-place Colorado State. Rice won the Phill Hansel Invitational with 1,121.50 points.
Harrison clocked a time of 16:21.00 to win the 1,650 free by over 11 seconds, recording her third victory of the weekend.
