The reigning Class 6A offensive player of the year, Tawa heads into the 2016 season ready to establish himself as one of the state's all-time quarterback greats, even though his college future is probably baseball. Tawa led West Linn to the state championship game a year, throwing for an Oregon-record 4,171 yards and 50 touchdowns. Definitely among the handful of Oregon athletes to watch during the 2016-17 school year, as he's a player of the year candidate in football and baseball.
