CORVALLIS - It couldn't happen again, right?
A week after its record-tying comeback in Colorado, Oregon State once again found itself in rally mode Saturday night in Reser Stadium. But that's why big comebacks are so celebrated; many teams start them, but few are completed.
That was the case here, as Oregon State was unable to entirely erase a 21-point first-half deficit, as USC pulled away during the fourth quarter for a 38-21 win. The Trojans (5-4, 4-3 Pac-12) ran for 332 yards, and their defense came up with a couple of fourth-quarter stops to keep Oregon State (2-7, 1-5) from completing another miracle finish.
