On Thanksgiving, Oregon State headed up to Vancouver for their first road trip of the season. They took on the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky in the first round of the Vancouver Showcase.
OSU grabbed an early lead, but couldn’t put WKU away in the first half, but the Hilltoppers hung around, and tied up the score 19-19 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Destiny Slocum began to take control of the game, giving the Beavers a 6 point lead. As the quarter wound down, some great shots and a steal from Mikayla Pivec added to the Beaver lead, and OSU went into the half up 41-31.
