CORVALLIS - Oregon State has contracted with the Chicago-based search firm DHR International, Inc. to assist in hiring its next football coach, according to an agreement obtained by The Oregonian/OregonLive.
DHR International, Inc. will conduct the search for a fee that "shall not exceed $200,000," although Oregon State redacted the value of each fee installment in its response to a public records request.
In 2016, the firm was used to help Toledo hire Jason Candle and North Texas hire Seth Littrell, according to CBS Sports.
Search firms are often used by university athletic departments as a third party that can identify candidates early in the hiring process.
