Oregon State is No. 8 overall in the latest NCAA Tournament Selection Committee rankings revealed Monday evening.
The ranking keeps the Beavers as a No. 2 seed, but will likely push them back into No. 1 Connecticut's bracket in this week's tournament field projections. OSU dropped one spot from the last reveal two weeks ago, before the Beavers lost a stunner to USC but responded with three consecutive victories over No. 13 UCLA, Colorado and Utah.
But the opportunity to move up awaits the Beavers. OSU (25-3, 14-2 Pac-12) is tied with Stanford, which is ranked 10th by the committee, for first in the Pac-12 standings heading into Friday's massive showdown between the two teams at Gill Coliseum.
