After last year’s embarrassing display in the Dam City Classic, the Beavers left the 2017 edition of the event with a win, using a 37-point second half to squeak by a tough Saint Louis squad, 63-60.
The victory pushes the Beavers to 8-3 overall on the season, which already gives them a three-win improvement from last year’s 5-27 campaign.
In the game, Oregon State was led by the ever-reliable Tres Tinkle, who chipped in 16 points on 5-11 shooting from the field, while also grabbing 8 rebounds.
