Oregon State rushing attack pushing for consistency against Portland State

CORVALLIS -- Ryan Nall sliced through a hole on the right side, shed a tackler in space and darted down the sideline. Seventy-five yards later, he was in the end zone.

It looked like 2017 had picked up where Oregon State's 2016 season had left off, with Nall rumbling between the tackles and then popping free for a big play. Instead, the Beavers' deepest and most talented position group never gained traction outside of that score in its opener, averaging 2.8 yards on its other 28 carries in a 58-27 loss at Colorado State.
