Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton suffers injury against Ohio State

Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton took a big hit on the Beavers' first series of the game against Ohio State and headed to the medical tent after his team's first offensive drive.

Luton received attention in a medical tent on the Oregon State sideline, and Beavers backup Conor Blount replaced him in the game against the Buckeyes.

Luton, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound senior from Marysville, Washington, had earned the starting nod over Blount and junior college transfer Jack Colletto during preseason camp. Luton started four games last season, but suffered a thoracic spine fracture against Washington State and missed the rest of the season.
