CORVALLIS — Look out the windows of Oregon State's strength and conditioning coaches' office in early June, and the Beavers' Sports Performance Center is still bustling.
With finals looming as the spring quarter winds down, it's a "discretionary period" for football players in between a four-week block immediately following spring practice and the summer session that runs from June 20 until the start of fall camp.
It's also this staff's second go-around with this offseason period crucial to the Beavers improving on last season's 2-10 mark. And rather than make reactionary, sweeping changes following a disappointing debut, head strength and conditioning coach Evan Simon is continuing forward with the core program he believes in.
