Oregon State Practices For First Time

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State volleyball team hit the floor for the first time on Tuesday in preparation for the 2016 season, which starts August 26 when the Beavers take on Utah State and Portland.

The Beavers, under first-year head coach , worked out for approximately two hours at the Dixon Recreation Center on the Oregon State campus. Gill Coliseum was not available as the installation of a state-of-the-art Taraflex floor, by Gerflor USA, was underway. Oregon State will be the second team in the Pac-12 Conference to utilize the playing surface.

The surface is one of many new enhancements at Gill Coliseum, which will also include a state-of-the-art sound system, new seats in the lower bowl and an upgrade to restrooms on the first level.
