1. Andersen started his media availability by addressing the men’s basketball team’s situation in Barcelona, where during a pregame meal at their hotel restaurant, the Beavers witnessed a driver of a van plow into a crowd of people in a terrorist attack.
“Thank goodness our kids are OK,” Andersen said. “I don’t know much about the situation, other than I got a phone call that all our young men are safe … those are scary moments.”
2. Thursday’s workout was lighter, as the Beavers continue to mimic a typical game week. A walk-through is set for Friday, before a full practice Saturday and an off day Sunday.
