1. This was a very light session, with only 10 periods when sometimes the Beavers go for double that amount of time. The open portion primarily consisted of situational work against the scout team, from goal-line plays to two-point conversions to plays with the offense backed up against its own goal line.
At the end of the workout, the players came together for some extra conditioning work and then broke into position-specific drills.
“I’m tired of practice and want to play a game,” defensive coordinator Kevin Clune said. “Most of the kids are, too. They’re ready to bang somebody else, and they’re ready to show what they can do on a real stage.
