CORVALLIS - Oregon State sophomore power forward Ben Kone could be out until at least mid-November with a left knee injury, men's basketball coach Wayne Tinkle said.
Kone had his knee scoped last week after feeling pain during a conditioning workout involving longer sprints, Tinkle said. The coach described the procedure as a "meniscus cleanup" and said the initial diagnosis had Kone out for four to six weeks.
"We got to the bottom of it," Tinkle said. "Hopefully he'll be back in the fold before not too long."
Kone missed the first nine games of his freshman season while recovering from a torn ACL in the same knee, which he suffered as a high school senior in January 2016.
