Oregon State is nearly a week removed from its Civil War victory and the end of the 2016 season, with coaches now on the road recruiting and players going through discretionary workout weeks and finishing up classes before winter break.
But earlier this week, members of the program took some time to Christmas shop for two families in need in conjunction with the Children's Cancer Association. Players wrapped the presents Thursday and will deliver them next week to the families in Salem and Lebanon. Funds for the gifts came from donations from coaches and the team's per diem.
