Oregon State pass protection to get first test after offensive line tweak late in fall camp

CORVALLIS - To see Gary Andersen's brow furrow or hear tension in his voice, one may simply point back toward Minnesota.

The location will come up in reference to pass protection, the failure of which helped cost Oregon State a season-opening win last season. Starting quarterback Darell Garretson had his best passing performance in an OSU uniform, but took four sacks and fumbled twice as the offensive line struggled in a 30-23 loss.

"He was put in a very difficult situation last year in game one where I don't know how many quarterbacks would have ever come back from that and be able to jump back on the field and work back to be successful," Andersen said.
