For the most part, it wasn’t how Oregon State expected the Advocare Invitational to go.
After letting a first round game slip away against St. John’s, the Beavers couldn’t regroup on short notice against Long Beach State and before they knew it, Oregon State was sitting in a seventh place game of the tournament against a win-less Marist squad.
But hey, at least they ended their trip to the Sunshine State on a high note.
On Sunday, the Beavers (3-3) knocked off the Red Foxes (0-6), 65-46, with help from a stellar defense effort, where which Marist managed just 21 points in the second half.
