Depending on where you looked Sunday, No. 5 Washington opened as either a 29-point, 31.5-point or 32.5-point favorite over Oregon State in Saturday afternoon's matchup in Seattle.
Regardless, the Beavers are massive underdogs. It's the Huskies' largest point spread against a Pac-12 opponent since at least 1994, according to The Seattle Times' Adam Jude. It's also a bit reminiscent of 1985, where the Beavers visited Seattle as a 37-point underdog (and with their backup quarterback) and snatched a 21-20 victory.
Why the huge point spread? Well, Washington has been dominant on defense and efficient on offense, as this week's sneak peek outlines.
