CORVALLIS - There is a new satisfaction that Tres Tinkle has found during film sessions.
While the dissection of game tape requires thick skin for all Oregon State men's basketball players, the redshirt sophomore forward has gotten recent joy from watching frustration grow on the faces of opposing offensive players.
They have been stifled by the Beavers' zone defense during their 2-1 start to Pac-12 play, a three-game stretch that has helped build confidence and adjust external expectations for the season.
If there is any added satisfaction in watching this success, it is because it's only recently that OSU has gotten comfortable playing the matchup zone that has helped change the tone of the season.
